The professional application of the principles and practices of yoga to promote health and well-being within a therapeutic relationship that includes personalized assessment, goal setting, lifestyle management, and yoga practices for individuals or small groups. A session is typically an hour long. With your input, Lisa will design a customized yoga practice that may include yoga postures, mindfulness, meditation, breathing techniques, and other yogic tools based on your needs, abilities and goals. Conditions that benefit from yoga therapy include stress, decreased functional movement, chronic pain, arthritis, heart conditions, hypertension, sleep problems and depression. Small group classes also are available.
